This information provided is for informational purposes only and should not be taken in the place of Veterinary

matter herein.
The boxer’s body is compact and powerful. Boxers are Medium sized dog ranging from 21 inches in height for a smaller
female to 25 inches and sometimes more for a taller male. Adult weight may reach 65-80 pounds in the male with the females
about 15 pounds less. There are no Giant or Miniature Varieties. The lower jaw extends beyond its upper one, curving upward
and head should be in proportion to its body, lean, and rounded. The shiny close fitting coat comes in Fawn(may vary from
a tawny tan to a stag red., Brindle, Reverse Brindle/ Sealed(Not black no such thing as black boxers|), and White. White boxers
are not rare and should not be bred They sometimes are deaf and or blind. These colors can also come with black masks and
or White Markings (Flashy). Boxers have a variety of health Problems. Hip Displace, Bloat, and Arthritis are a few of the
health issues that effect the breed, but the more serious ones are heart problems, (Cardiomyopathy, Heart Murmurs, and Sub-aortic
Stenosis). As well as cancers, Tumors and a tendency for allergies. They snore and some may drool, May also have excessive
flatulence (Gas) Boxers life expectancy is between 11- 14 years. The temperament of the boxer should be Happy, High-spirited,
playful, curious and energetic. They remain puppy like in attitude, and behavior most of their lives. They are highly intelligent,
eager and quick to learn but can be stubborn and sneaky. Boxers are constantly on the move, bonding with the family, loyal
and affectionate. Boxers need lots of human affection and companionship and should be inside dogs with lots of exercise and
outside playtime. They do not tolerate extreme cold and heat and have trouble cooling off in very hot weather. Boxers are
great with children and even other dogs if properly introduced. Owning more than one boxer is a must for most boxer lovers
but should consider owning opposite sexes they tend to not get along with same gender. Crate Training is must when owning
a boxer, not only does it aid in Potty training If they get bored when left alone can become destructive. Simple and basic
obedience is a must for boxers, they should not be aloud to jump up on people and they do like to jump. If you are firm and
consistent with training your boxer will be a great family companion. They are generally food motivated this helps with training.
Also from the time you bring your bouncy baby boxer home a leash, collar and or Harness should be used they are extremely
strong pullers. If taught at an early age The pulling can be eliminated/controlled. A great Training source is Animal Planet
~ its me or the dog. This tv show helped us and it works if you stick with the training.
